'Earth Hour' being observed today: 25 March

i. The World Wildlife Fund for Nature (WWF) is observing the 10th anniversary of 'Earth Hour' today i.e. 25 March,2017. 

ii. The worldwide event is held annually encouraging individuals to turn off non-essential lights for one hour, from 8:30 to 9:30 PM local time as a symbol of their commitment to the planet. It was started as a lights-off event in Sydney, Australia, in 2007.

Aadhaar mandatory for mobile connection

i. After making Aadhaar mandatory for filing income tax returns and applying for a Permanent Account Number (PAN), the government has moved to make Aadhaar-based e-KYC (know your customer) mandatory for mobile phone connections.

ii. The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) directed all mobile phone service providers to reverify existing customers, prepaid and postpaid, using their unique Aadhaar identity number and biometric details. Aadhaar-based e-KYC would also be mandatory for customers procuring new SIM card.

Nellore in AP to get Post Office Passport Seva Kendra

i. The External Affairs Ministry and the department of posts announced the opening of a Post Office Passport Seva Kendra (POPSK) at Nellore in Andhra Pradesh.
ii. It would be the 86th POPSK in the country. The Ministry of External Affairs and the Department of Posts will be working closely for the early operationalisation of this POPSK at Nellore.

Pawan Hans to start 'Dilli Darshan' chopper rides at Rs 2,500 

i. National chopper operator Pawan Hans is set to launch its "Delhi Darshan" rides with a 10-minute sortie costing Rs 2,499 per person. 

ii. Besides, the state-owned aviation firm will also offer a 20-minute helicopter ride for Rs 4,999. The company's Chairman and Managing Director, B P Sharma, announced the roll out of these services from April 1, 2017.

Navy gets three naval systems from DRDO

i. Defence Minister Arun Jaitley handed over three naval systems, developed by premier Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) to the Indian Navy.

ii. The naval systems, given to Indian Navy, are USHUS-II submarine sonar, directing gear for hull-mounted sonar array and inertial navigation system for ship applications. 

Indian Navy fires surface-to-air missile from INS Vikramaditya

i. The country’s sole aircraft carrier INS Vikramaditya successfully carried out the maiden test of the newly installed Barak short-range surface-to-air missile (SAM).

ii. The 44,500-tonne carrier was commissioned into the Navy in November 2013 at Severodvinsk in Russia.

CBEC renamed as CBIC under GST regime

i. The Central Board of Excise and Customs (CBEC) will be reorganized for the implementation of the Goods and Services Tax (GST) regime and will be renamed as the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) following Parliamentary approval.

ii.  Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has approved the reorganization of the field formations of the CBEC for the implementation of GST.

ఇటీవల సెలవులకు ఇంటికి వచ్చిన చరణ్‌ వద్ద సుశాంత్‌ సోదరుడు శశాంక్‌ ఇదే విషయాన్ని ప్రస్తావించాడు. ఒకే రకమైన ప్రతిభాపాటవాలు ఉన్న మీ ఇద్దరిలో ఒక సక్సెస్‌ అయ్యారు, ఇంకొకరు సక్సెస్‌ కోసం ఎదురు చూస్తున్నారు. లోపం ఎక్కడ ఉందో చర్చించాడు. అప్పుడు శశాంక్‌తో చరణ్‌ ఇలా చెప్పాడు. చిన్నప్పుడు మా తాతయ్య ఒక విషయం చెప్పేవారు. జీవితంలో విజయం సాధించాలంటే ప్రయత్నిస్తూనే ఉండాలి. విజయం సాధించడానికి ఒక్కో సారి ఎక్కువ సమయం పట్టొచ్చు. కానీ ఓపికతో వ్యవహరించాలి. అప్పుడే అనుకున్న లక్ష్యం దరి చేరుతుంది. ఆ మాటలే నాకు ఎంతో స్ఫూర్తినిచ్చాయి. ఇప్పటికీ నేను నిరుత్సాహంగా ఉంటే ఆ మాటలే టానిక్‌లా పని చేసి ఉత్సాహనిస్తాయి.

 

సక్సెస్‌ కాకపోడం పెద్ద విషయం కాదు 

ఉద్యోగ ప్రయత్నాలు మొదలు పెట్టిన కొత్తలో నాకు కూడా ఒక నిరుత్సాహంగా ఉండేది. వెళ్లిన ప్రతి ఇంటర్వ్యూలో సక్సెస్‌ కాకపోడమే అందుకు కారణం. ఒక్కో సారి ఉద్యోగ ప్రయత్నాలను విరమించుకుందామని అనిపించేది. కానీ ఒక రోజు బస్సులో ప్రయాణిస్తున్నప్పుడు కాలేజీలో నా సీనియర్‌ రవి కలిసి ఒక మాట చెప్పాడు. ఇంటర్వ్యూలో సక్సెస్‌ కాకపోడం పెద్ద విషయం కాదు. కాకపోతే ఆ అనుభవం నుంచి నువ్వు కొంత నేర్చుకోవాలి. నేర్చుకున్న దాన్ని విశ్లేషించుకుంటూ తిరిగి ప్రయత్నిస్తూనే ఉండాలి. అప్పుడే నిరుత్సాహం నీ దరి చేరదు. రవి మాటలు నాలో ఏదో తెలియని ఉత్సాహాన్ని నింపాయి.

అప్పటి వరకు చేస్తున్న దానికి భిన్నంగా ఆలోచించడం మొదలు పెట్టాను. ఎందుకు సక్సెస్‌ కాలేకపోతున్నాను అనే స్వీయ విశ్లేషణ ప్రారంభించాను. హాజరైన ఇంటర్వ్యూలో నేను విజయం సాధించకున్నా...సక్సెస్‌ అయిన వారు ఉంటారు కాదా. వారి నుంచి నేను చేస్తున్న తప్పులు, సరిదిద్దుకోవాల్సిన అంశాలపై చర్చించాను. మారిన పరిస్థితులకు అనుగుణంగా మనల్ని మనం అప్‌ డేట్‌ చేసుకోవాల్సిన అవసరం ఉందని ఆ సందర్భంగా గ్రహించాను. అంతేకాకుండా ప్రస్తుత ఇంటర్నెట్‌ యుగంలో ఆన్‌లైన్‌ జాబ్‌ పొర్టల్స్‌ ద్వారా రిక్రూట్‌మెంట్‌కు ప్రాధాన్యం ఇస్తున్నారు. కాబట్టి అలా ప్రయత్నించడం ప్రయోజనకరం అనే విషయం కూడా అప్పుడే తెలిసింది.

 

రెజ్యుమె లో కీ వర్డ్స్‌ 

వారి సలహా, మరి కొంత మంది స్నేహితులు, సీనియర్లు, ఇంటర్నెట్‌ ద్వారా సేకరించిన సమాచారం మేరకు ఆన్‌లైన్‌ జాబ్‌ పొర్టల్‌ ద్వారా ఉద్యోగ ప్రయత్నాలు మొదలు పెట్టాను. అందులోని ప్రొఫైల్‌, రెజ్యుమెలోని అంశాలు భిన్నంగా కాకుండా ఒకే విధంగా ఉండేలా జాగ్రత్త పడ్డాను. అన్నయ్యా ఇక్కడ ఒక విషయం చెప్పాలి. రిక్రూటర్‌కు ఏ మాత్రం పరిచయం లేని మనల్ని పరిచయం చేసేది రెజ్యుమె. ఇందులోని అంశాలాధారంగానే రిక్రూటర్‌కు మనపై ఒక ప్రాథమిక అవగాహన ఏర్పడుతుంది. కాబట్టి టైటిల్‌ నుంచి చివరలో సంతకం వరకు ఎంతో జాగ్రత్తగా రెజ్యుమెను రూపొందించుకున్నాను. వేలాది రెజ్యుమెల నుంచి కొన్నింటిని షార్ట్‌ లిస్ట్‌ చేసుకోవాలంటే కొన్ని పద్ధతులు పాటిస్తారు. అదే కీ వర్డ్స్‌ టెక్నిక్‌. ఉద్యోగం లేదా టెక్నాలజీకి సంబంధించిన కీ వర్డ్స్‌ ఆధారంగా వాటిని సెర్చ్‌ చేస్తారు. అభ్యర్థులు కూడా రిక్రూటర్ల దృష్టి ఆకర్షించాలే రెజ్యుమెలో సంబంధిత పరిశ్రమకు సంబంధించిన కీ వర్డ్స్‌/టెక్నికల్‌ టెర్మినాలజీ ఉండేలా చూసుకోవాలి. నేను అదే పని చేశాను. ఒక రకంగా చెప్పాలంటే అకడమిక్‌ రికార్డు, నైపుణ్యాలు, చేసిన ప్రాజెక్ట్‌లు, అనుభవం తదితర అంశాల గురించి గురించి రెజ్యుమెలో క్షుణ్నంగా వివరించాను. అంతేకాకుండా రిక్రూటర్ల దృష్టిని ఆకర్షించేలా తక్కువ పదాలతో చక్కని హెడ్డింగ్‌తో రెజ్యుమె, ప్రొఫైల్‌ను డిజైన్‌ చేసుకున్నాను. ఎందుకంటే హెడ్డింగ్‌ను చదివి మాత్రమే రిక్రూటర్లు ప్రొఫైల్‌ను పూర్తిగా చదివే అవకాశం ఉంటుంది.

 

స్వీయ విశ్లేషణ 

అంతేకాకుండా హాజరైన ఇంటర్వ్యూలకు సంబంధించి ఫాలో అప్‌ చేసుకుంటూ ఉండేవాడిని. ఎక్కడ లోపం ఉందో తెలుసుకునే ప్రయత్నం చేసేవాడిని. తద్వారా మనపై ఒక పాజిటివ్‌ ఇంప్రెషన్‌తోపాటు నాకు ఆ ఉద్యోగం ఎంత అవసరమో కూడా రిక్రూటర్లకు తెలుస్తుంది. ఈ విధంగా స్వీయ విశ్లేషణ చేసుకుంటూ మరో ప్రయత్నం ప్రారంభించే వాడిని. ఆన్‌లైన్‌ జాబ్‌ పొర్టల్‌ ప్రొఫైల్‌ స్టేటస్‌ను ఎప్పుడు అప్‌డేట్‌ చేస్తూ ఉండే వాడిని. రిక్రూటర్లు తరుచుగా ఆన్‌లైన్‌లో ప్రొఫైల్స్‌ను పరిశీలించే క్రమంలో స్టేటస్‌ అప్‌డేట్‌గా ఉందా లేదా అనే విషయాన్ని కూడా గమనిస్తుంటారు. స్టేటస్‌ అప్‌డేట్‌గా ఉంటే చేరబొయే జాబ్‌ పట్ల మీకు ఉన్న అంకితభావం రిక్రూటర్లకు అర్థమవుతుంది. వీటితోపాటు సంబంధిత పరిశ్రమలోని ప్రముఖ వ్యక్తుల రిఫరెన్స్‌ లెటర్స్‌ కూడా సిద్ధంగా చేసుకునే వాడిని.

 

నిరంతర ప్రక్రియ 

ఉద్యోగాన్వేషణ అనేది నిరంతర ప్రక్రియ. ఒక రోజు లేదా రెండు రోజుల్లో పూర్తయ్యే అంశం కాదు. సుశాంత్‌ ఇక్కడే తప్పు చేసే వాడు. కేవలం ఒకటి రెండు ఇంటర్వ్యూలకు మాత్రమే హాజరయ్యే వాడు. వాటి ఫలితాలను విశ్లేషించుకునే ఆలోచన ఉండేది కాదు. మారిన పరిస్థితులకు అనుగుణంగా టెక్నికల్‌గా తనను తాను అప్‌డేట్‌ చేసుకునేందుకు ఎప్పుడు ప్రయత్నించ లేదు. దాంతో వెనకబడి పోయాడు.

 

ఆసక్తి లక్ష్యంగా మారాలి 
ఉద్యోగ శోధనను ఆసక్తితో చేయాలి. అప్పుడే ఆ ఆసక్తి లక్ష్యంగా మారుతుంది. ఆ లక్ష్యమే మనం కోరుకున్న గమ్యానికి చేరుస్తుంది. దాని కోసం నిరంతం శ్రమించాలి, శోధించాలి, స్వీయ విశ్లేషణ చేసుకోవాలి. ప్రతి అనుభవం నుంచి పాఠం నేర్చుకుంటూ ముందుకు సాగాలి. విజయం సాధించేందుకు కొంత సమయం పట్టొచ్చు. అంతా మాత్రన నీలో సామర్థ్యం లేదని కాదు. నీవు అనుకున్న దాని కంటే పెద్ద లక్ష్యమే దరి చేరుతుందనే ఆత్మ విశ్వాసంతో ఉండాలి. అప్పుడే సక్సెస్‌ సొంతమవుతుంది. 

ఉద్యోగ శోధనను ఆసక్తితో చేయాలి. అప్పుడే ఆ ఆసక్తి లక్ష్యంగా మారుతుంది. ఆ లక్ష్యమే మనం కోరుకున్న గమ్యానికి చేరుస్తుంది. దాని కోసం నిరంతం శ్రమించాలి, శోధించాలి, స్వీయ విశ్లేషణ చేసుకోవాలి. ప్రతి అనుభవం నుంచి పాఠం నేర్చుకుంటూ ముందుకు సాగాలి.
