బ్యాంకులపై యుద్ధం ప్రకటించిన ఖాతాదారులు

హైదరాబాద్: వాతావరణం బాగున్నప్పుడు గొడుగు ఇచ్చి.. వర్షం పడినప్పుడు తీసుకునేదానిపేరే బ్యాంకు అంటూ బ్యాంకింగ్ రంగంపై కొన్ని చలోక్తులు ప్రచారంలో ఉన్నాయి. ప్రస్తుతం దేశంలోని ప్రభుత్వ, ప్రైవేటు బ్యాంకుల తీరు పై చలోక్తికి తగ్గట్టుగా ఉంది. అప్పట్లో జీరో ఖాతాతో బ్యాంకు అకౌంట్ ప్రారంభించండి అని ప్రకటించింది కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వం. దీంతో కోట్లమంది ప్రజలు బ్యాంకు ఖాతాలు తెరిచారు. అప్పుడు ప్రోత్సహించిన బ్యాంకులు ఇప్పుడు మాత్రం ఆ ఖాతాలో డబ్బులు వేసినా.. తీసినా.. సేవాపన్నుతోపాటు అపరాధ రుసుము వసూలు చేస్తామంటున్నాయి బ్యాంకులు.

బ్యాంకుల్లో లక్షల కోట్ల రూపాయల మొండిబకాయిలు పేరుకుపోవడం, రుణ ఎగవేత దారుల నుంచి డబ్బు వసూలు కాకపోవడంతో నిధుల కొరతను భర్తీ చేసుకునేందుకు బ్యాంకులు ఖాతాదారులను లక్ష్యంగా చేసుకుంటున్నాయి. ఖాతాల నిర్వహణ, లావాదేవీలపై ఆంక్షలు డిపాజిట్లపై వడ్డీ తగ్గించడంలాంటి చర్యలకు పూనుకుంటున్నాయి. నెలలో మూడుసార్లకు మించి నగదు వేసినా.. తీసినా.. సేవా పన్నులు, చార్జీలతో ఖాతాదారుల నడ్డి విరిచేందుకు ప్రభుత్వ, ప్రైవేటు రంగ బ్యాంకులన్నీ ప్రతిపాదనలు సిద్ధం చేశాయి. ఈ ప్రతిపాదనలను ఏప్రిల్ 1 నుంచి అమలు చేయాలని నిర్ణయించాయి. అయితే బ్యాంకులు ఏ ప్రాతిపదికన ఈ చార్జిలు విధిస్తున్నాయనేదానిపై మాతం స్పష్టత లేదు. వినియోగదారుల మీద బ్యాంకుల బాదుడు గురించి ఒక్కో బ్యాంకు ఒక్కో రకంగా చార్జిలు వసూలు చేస్తోంది. ఎస్‌బిఐ, హెచ్‌డిఎఫ్‌సి సొంత వినియోగదారులపైనే కొరడా విధిలిస్తుంటే.. ఆక్సిస్ బ్యాంకు ఇతర బ్యాంకుల్లో చేసే లావాదేవీలపై ఛార్జీలు విధిస్తోంది. బ్యాంకింగ్ వ్యవస్థ ప్రాథమిక బాధ్యతలను గాలికొదిలేస్తూ బ్యాంకులు తీసుకుంటున్న నిర్ణయాలపై ఖాతాదారులు తీవ్రంగా మండిపడుతున్నారు. బ్యాంకులు ఎవరి ఇష్టం వచ్చినట్లు వారు నిర్ణయం తీసుకుంటుంటే రిజర్వు బ్యాంకు ఏం చేస్తుందని ప్రశ్నిస్తున్నారు. ఆపరేటింగ్ ఛార్జీల పేరుతో ఇప్పటికే రకరకాలుగా ఖాతాదారుల సొమ్మును కొల్లగొట్టేస్తున్న బ్యాంకులు ఇప్పుడు బహిరంగంగానే దోపిడీకి దిగుతున్నాయంటూ మండిపడుతున్నారు.

మరోవైపు బ్యాంకుల నిర్ణయాలకు వ్యతిరేకంగా ఖాతాదారులు సమరశంఖం పూరిస్తున్నారు. ఇష్టం వచ్చినట్లు చార్జిలను వసూలు చేయడమే కాకుండా కొత్త నిబంధనలతో ఇబ్బందులు పెట్టే చర్యలకు దిగిన బ్యాంకులపై ఆన్‌లైన్‌లో తీవ్రస్థాయిలో విమర్శలు గుప్పిస్తున్నారు. లావాదేవీలపై వసూలు చేస్తున్న సర్వీస్ చార్జీలను ఎత్తివేయడంతో పాటు.. డిపాజిట్లపై వడ్డీ రేట్లను తగ్గించడాన్ని ఖాతాదారులు ప్రశ్నిస్తున్నారు. బ్యాంకుల తీరును నిరసిస్తూ ఏప్రిల్ 6న నో ట్రాన్సాక్షన్ డే గా పాటించాలనే మెసేజ్ ఒకటి సోషల్ మీడియాలో విస్తృతంగా ప్రచారం అవుతోంది. రానున్న రోజుల్లో ఇలాంటి నిర్ణయాలు తీసుకోకుండా బ్యాంకులను అడ్డుకునేందుకు ఈ ఉద్యమం సహకరిస్తుందని, అంతా ఒక్కటై ఐకమత్యం బలమేమిటో చూపించాలంటూ కోరుతున్నారు. ఆర్బీఐ గవర్నర్ రబ్బరు స్టాంప్‌గా మారిపోయారని, ఆయనకు ఆర్బీఐపై నియంత్రణే లేకుండా పోయిందంటూ మండిపడుతున్నారు. ఏప్రిల్ 6న నో ట్రాన్సాక్షన్ డే సక్సస్ కాకపోతే ఏప్రిల్ 24, 25, 26న కూడా బ్యాంకులు లావాదేవీలు జరపవద్దని ఈ మెసేజ్‌లో పేర్కొన్నారు. ఖాతాదారులు ప్రయోజనం కోసం బ్యాంకుల్ని నియంత్రించేందుకు ఇంతకంటే మంచిమార్గం కనిపించడం లేదని, ఖాతాదారులంతా ఇదే బాట పడితే బ్యాంకులకు ఇక కష్టాలు తప్పవని బ్యాంకింగ్ వర్గాలు చెబుతున్నారు.

ఇదిలాఉండగా, చార్జీల వడ్డనపై బ్యాంకుల వాదన మరోలా ఉంది. దేశంలో నగదు రహిత లావాదేవీలను పెంచడంతో పాటు బ్యాంకుల ఆపరేటింగ్ ఖర్చులను తగ్గించుకునేందుకే కొత్త ఆంక్షలు తీసుకువస్తున్నట్లు బ్యాంకర్లు చెబుతున్నారు. ఖాతాల నిర్వహణతో ఇబ్బంది లేకున్నా నగదు లావాదేవీలు పెరగడం వల్ల బ్యాంకుపై ఎక్కువ భారం పడుతోందని చెబుతున్నారు. ఏటీఎంల నిర్వహణ వల్ల బ్యాంకులపై అదనపు భారం పడుతోందంటున్నారు. అన్ని రంగాల్లోనూ సాంకేతిక పరిజ్ఞానాన్ని విస్తృతంగా వాడుతున్నారని, బ్యాంకుల విషయంలోనూ టెక్నాలజీ వినియోగం పెరిగేందుకు చార్జీల వడ్డన ఉపకరిస్తుందని అంటున్నారు. ఎవరు ఎన్నిరకాలుగా చెప్పినా అంతిమంగా నష్టపోతుంది, భారం మోస్తోంది ఖాతాదారుడేనన్నది వాస్తవం.

అమెరికా అధ్యక్షుడికి భద్రత పరంగా ఎన్నో జాగ్రత్తలు తీసుకుంటారు. తీసుకునే ఆహారం నుంచి పయనించే వాహనం వరకు ప్రతి విషయంలో నిఘా ఉంటుంది. అధికారులు అత్యంత కట్టుదిట్టుమైన చర్యలు తీసుకుంటారు. మరి అలాంటిది అగ్రరాజ్య అధ్యక్షుడు ఉపయోగించే కారంటే.. మామూలుగా ఉంటుందా? ఆ కొత్త కారు గురించి ఆసక్తికరమైన విషయాలు..

Health Ministry launches Measles Rubella vaccination campaign

i. Health Ministry launched Measles Rubella vaccination campaign in the country at a function in Bengaluru.

ii. The campaign against these two diseases Measles and Rubella will start from Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Goa and Lakshadweep, covering nearly 3.6 crore children.

iii. Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare, Faggan Singh Kulaste launched this initiative at a function in Bengaluru, Speaking on the occasion, Mr Kulaste stated that the centre is committed to eradicating Measles and Rubella from the country. 

Vijay Goel lays foundation stone of 1st centre of excellence for differently abled sportsmen

i. The Union Minister for Sports Vijay Goel laid the foundation stone of the country's first centre of excellence for differently abled sportsmen at Gandhinagar, Gujarat.

ii. The centre is proposed with an estimate of 50 crores rupees and will provide World class facilities such as indoor halls, dedicated tracks and 100 bedded hostel where para athletes will be trained for various internationalcompetitions including Paralympics.

iii. The Minister also inaugurated a sports training centre at Sports Authority of India campus in Gandhinagar. Around 50 differently abled sportspersons between age group 8-12 will be imparted training in Athletics, Swimming and power lifting at the training centre.

Sasikala Natarajan to take over as Tamil Nadu's next CM

i.AIADMK chief Sasikala Natarajan will take over as the next Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu from O Panneerselvam, the party announced. 

ii. The AIADMK MLAs also elected Sasikala Natarajan as the Legislative party leader. Notably, the party said in a tweet that current Chief Minister Panneerselvam had himself proposed Sasikala's name as the leader of AIADMK Legislature Party.

Nagaland cabinet to submit memorandum to PM to exempt it from Part IX A of Constitution

i. Nagaland cabinet has decided to submit a memorandum to the Prime Minister to issue an ordinance to exempt the state from the provision of Part IX A of the Constitution which deals with the municipalities. 

ii. According to a communique issued by the media cell of Chief Minister's Office, the decision was taken in an emergency meeting of the state Cabinet, was attended by special invitees comprising legislators from all tribes. 

Sarbananda Sonowal launches CMSGUY in Guwahati

i. In a move to bring about paradigm shift towards holistic development of villages, Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal launched the Chief Minister Samagra Gramya Unnayan Yojana, CMSGUY in Guwahati this evening. 

ii. This scheme is a mega mission with a financial outlay of 30,000 crore rupees and it will be implemented in all the villages of the state. It will culminate in 2021-22. 

Corp Bank pact with Religare

i. Corporation Bank has signed an agreement with Religare Health Insurance Co Ltd to market its products and services through the distribution network of the bank across India. A press release said that Corporation Bank holds around 5 per cent stake in Religare Health Insurance. 

ii. The Executive Directors of the bank Sunil Mehta and Gopal Murli Bhagat, and Managing Director & CEO of Religare Health Anuj Gulati were present at an event to sign the agreement in Mangaluru

Telangana launches India's first social innovation hub in Nizamabad

i. The Telangana government has launched India's first social innovation centre The ‘Kakatiya Hub For Social Innovation’ in Nizamabad, Telangana.

ii. Telangana IT Secretary Jayesh Ranjan made this announcement at the one-day Development Dialogue, an international social entrepreneurship ecosystem conference hosted by Kakatiya Sandbox.

iii. Jayesh Ranjan said the ‘Kakatiya Hub For Social Innovation’ funded by the Telangana government and implemented through Kakatiya Sandbox will function like a rural incubator to encourage entrepreneurship at the grassroots level.

2% reservation to sports persons in govt jobs: CM Raghubar Das

i. Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das stated that state will give two per cent reservation to sports persons in government jobs and nutritious food to them. 

ii. He said efforts were also being taken to give nutritious food to the sports persons, an official release in Ranchi.

Bureau of Civil Aviation Security suspends IndiGo's security training centre licence

i. Bureau of Civil Aviation Security, BCAS has suspended the licence of budget carrier IndiGo's aviation security training facility.

ii. The regulatory authority took the decision after several lapses were detected in the examination procedure that it was following. PTI quoting sources stated, the orders issued by the apex aviation security agency BCAS the Gurgaon-based airline from conducting security training programme for its employees any further.

iii. The training academy is run by IndiGo's parent company, InterGlobe Aviation. 

Uber launches taxi hiring service UberHIRE

i. Global taxi-hailing platform Uber announced it has launched a new category UberHIRE that allows customers to hire a taxi for the day, to cover several destinations, and is targetting senior citizens, business travellers and tourists.

ii. Currently, UberHIRE works only on cash payments.After a pilot run in Kochi,UberHIRE will go live in New Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Vizag and Nagpur, with more cities slated for launch in the weeks to come, it added.

CESC wins Bikaner power distribution franchise

i. CESC Ltd, a part of the Rs. 19,000-crore RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group, has received a letter of intent for appointment as a power distribution franchisee to supply electricity in Bikaner, Rajasthan.

ii. This is the group’s third distribution operation in Rajasthan, the other two being in Kota and Bharatpur

World’s longest flight lands in New Zealand

i. The world’s longest commercial flight landed in New Zealand on 6 February 2017 with the arrival of Qatar Airways’s 14,535km (9,032-mile) Doha-Auckland service.

ii. The long-range Boeing 777-200LR crossed 10 time zones on its marathon flight. 

iii. There were four pilots on board as well as 15 cabin crew who served 1,100 cups of tea and coffee, 2,000 cold drinks and 1,036 meals during the flight.

Renowned Urdu author Bano Qudsia passes away

Renowned Pakistani Urdu novelist and playwright Bano Qudsia has passed away here. She was 88. She was awarded Sitara-i-Imtiaz in 2003 and Hilal-i-Imtiaz in 2010. 

India to host FIBA Women's Asia Cup basketball tournament

i. India to host FIBA Women's Asia Cup basketball tournament at Bengaluru in July, 2017. Basketball Federation of India (BFI) President KGovindaraj stated that continental flagship tournament for women will be hled from July 23 to 29, 2017.

ii. India has also been given another continental level tournament-the FIBA U-16 Women's Asian Championship - which will be held from October 22 to 28, 2017 in Hyderabad.

iii. This will be the first time since 2009 that India will host a major FIBA (International Basketball Federation) event.

Virat Kohli features in latest cover star of Wisden Cricketers' Almanack

i. Indian skipper Virat Kohli, who led his side to victory against England in all three formats of the game recently, has featured in the latest cover star of the bible of cricket - Wisden Cricketers' Almanack. 

ii. Kohli becomes only the third Asian origin player after Tendulkar and England all-rounder Moeen Ali to be featured on the cover of the magazine.

బ్యాంకు పరీక్ష మాదిరిగానే ఇందులోనూ మూడు టెస్టులు ఉంటాయి. ఇంగ్లీష్‌ లాంగ్వేజ్‌ నుంచి 30, రీజనింగ్‌, న్యూమరికల్‌ ఎబిలిటీ నుంచి నుంచి చెరి 35 మొత్తం 100 ప్రశ్నలుంటాయి. వంద మార్కుల ఈ పేపర్‌కు 60 నిమిషాలు సమయం ఉంటుంది.

ప్రిలిమినరీ ఎగ్జామినేషన్‌లో ప్రశ్నలన్నీ ఆబ్జెక్టివ్‌ తరహాలో ఉంటాయి. అభ్యర్థులు మెయిన్‌కు అర్హత సాఽధించాలంటే ప్రతి టెస్ట్‌లోనూ విడివిడిగా, ఓవరాల్‌గా కూడా క్వాలిఫై కావాలి.

 

టైర్‌-2 మెయిన్‌

దీనిలో ప్రశ్నలన్నీ ఆబ్జెక్టివ్‌ తరహావే. అయిదు టెస్ట్‌లు ఉంటాయి. రీజనింగ్‌, ఇంగ్లీష్‌ లాంగ్వేజ్‌, జనరల్‌ అవేర్‌నెస్‌, కంప్యూటర్‌ నాలెడ్జ్‌, న్యూమరికల్‌ ఎబిలిటీ ఉంటాయి. ఒక్కో టాపిక్‌పై 40 ప్రశ్నలు, 50 మార్కులకు ఉంటాయి. అంటే రెండు వందల ప్రశ్నలు 250 మార్కులకు అడుగుతారు. సమయం రెండు గంటలు (120 నిమిషాలు) కేటాయించారు. మెయిన్‌ ఎగ్జామ్‌ ఆన్‌లైన్‌లో ఉంటుంది. మెయిన్‌ ఎగ్జామ్‌లో క్వాలిఫై అయిన వారిని షార్ట్‌ లిస్టు చేసి, రీజినల్‌ లాంగ్వేజ్‌ టెస్ట్‌ రాయడానికి పిలుస్తారు. రీజినల్‌ లాంగ్వేజ్‌ (ప్రాంతీయ భాష) టెస్ట్‌ క్వాలిఫైయింగ్‌ నేచర్‌ కలది.

GST Council approves draft CGST and IGST Bills

i. The Centre and States approved the model draft Bills for Centre and Integrated goods and services tax (GST).The Council has also included a revised peak rate of 20 percent under GST, instead of the earlier 18 percent. This would mean that the total incidence of the tax could go as high as 40 percent.

ii. The next meeting of the Council will now be held on March 16, when it will finalize the draft Bills for State and Union Territory GST.

Punjab, J&K seal fresh deal on Shahpur Kandi project

i. A renewed agreement between Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir has been sealed for the completion of the Shahpur Kandi Dam project, work on which was halted two years ago following a dispute. This move comes days before its annual Indus Water Commission meeting with Pakistan in Lahore. 

ii. The 55.5-meter high Shahpur Kandi dam in Punjab, will help in providing irrigation facility to 5000 hectares of land in Punjab and 32173 hectares in J&K, besides generation of 206 MW power.

Google India inks MoU with Telangana government

i. Google India and Telangana government have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at supporting the digitization efforts of the state.

ii. Google India will provide Google Cloud credits and access to all cloud platform products to eligible startups engaged with Telangana government’s T-Hub initiative and through its Developer Relations team provide technical mentor-ship and advisory support to various startups.

i. Former IFS and MP Syed Shahabuddin dies at the age of 82 after suffering from prolonged illness.

ii. During his time, Shahabuddin had strongly opposed the demolition of the Babri Masjid and was the leader of the Babri Action Committee. Born in 1935, in Ranchi, Jharkhand, Shahabuddin began working as a diplomat for the Indian Foreign Service (IFS), but later became a politician. He served three terms from 1979-1996 as an MP. He was the Joint Secretary in charge of South East Asia, the Indian Ocean and the Pacific in the Ministry of External Affairs.

South Korea and United States Begin Annual Military Drill Foal Eagle

i. The United States and South Korean troops started their large-scale annual military drill named Foal Eagle.The month-long exercises will run last in April 2017 and will overlap with the Key Resolve exercise which will begin on March 13, 2017.

ii. The aim of the military exercise is to test their defense readiness against the threat from North Korea. North Korea conducted its first ballistic missile test of 2017 in February and views the Foal Eagle Exercise 2017 as preparation for war against it.
