*English Language*
- Candidates' must have understanding the concepts of:

*Numerical Aptitude*
This paper will include questions on problems:
- Number Systems and Computation of Whole Numbers
- Decimals and Fractions and relationship between Numbers
- Fundamental arithmetical operations
- Percentages and Averages
- Ratio and Proportion
- Interest & Discount
- Profit and Loss
- Use of Tables and Graphs Mensuration
- Time and Distance
- Ratio and Time
- Time and Work
*General Awareness*
Questions will be designed to test the ability of candidate‘s general awareness of environment around him and its application to society. Questions will also be designed to test knowledge of:
- Current Events
- Sports
- History
- Culture
- Geography
- Economic scene
- General Polity including Indian Constitution
- Scientific Research etc.
Paper II
The Paper will be set in English and Hindi and to the extent possible in other languages mentioned in the 8th Schedule of the Constitution. In this paper Candidates will be required to write one short essay/letter in English or any language included in the 8th schedule of Constitution.

Paper-I:
- Questions on ‘General Intelligence and Reasoning’ are of non-verbal focusing the functions attached to the post.
- Questions on ‘Numerical Aptitude’ and ‘General English’ are easy and simple, of a level that an average matriculate will be in a position to answer happily.
- Questions on General Awareness will be also of similar standard.
- For VH aspirants of 40% and above visual disability and opting for SCRIBE there is no section of Maps/ Graphs/ Diagrams/ Statistical Data in General Intelligence & Reasoning / General Awareness Paper.
Paper-II:
- The Paper-II will be held in both language such as English and Hindi.
- To amount possible in other languages given in the 8th Schedule of the Constitution to evaluate basic language skills proportionate with the educational qualification prescribed for the post.
- Entrants will be needed to write one short essay/letter in English or any language included in 8th schedule of Constitution.
*SSC Multitasking Exam Pattern*
Written examination will consist of (Paper-I) objective type paper and (Paper-II) descriptive type as shown below:
Paper I:
Paper-I will consist of Objective Type- Multiple choice questions only. The questions will be set both in English & Hindi. There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.

Paper II:
Paper-II will be descriptive in which the candidate will be required to write short essay/letter in English or any language included in the 8th schedule of the Constitution. Paper-II will only be of qualifying nature.

SSC Multitasking Staff Exam Details:
- There will be negative marking and 0.25 will be deducted for any wrong answer.
- Paper I will consist of Objective Type MCQs only.
- The question will be set both in English & Hindi.
- The SSC might set the questions additionally in regional languages, if technical feasible.
- Paper II will be of only those candidates who will meet the cut-off prescribed by the commission in Paper I for various categories.
- Paper II is of qualifying nature and will only test your elementary skills.
General Instructions to Be Fulfilled by Contenders in the Written Exam:
- Contenders should write the papers/ marks the answers in their own hand.
- In the question papers, wherever essential, the Metric systems of weights and procedures only will be used.
- Aspirants are not allowed to use calculators and other electronic devices except as mentioned in the Notice. They must not, therefore, bring the same inside the Exam Venue.
- If any aspirant is found to hold mobile phones or any other mode of wireless communication in working or switched off mode, his/her entry shall be cancelled immediately.
- Using unfair means in the examination hall is prohibited.
- If there is any incorrectness or any inconsistency, in filling OMR Sheet, OMR Sheet will not be checked.
- Selection of candidates will be done on purely basis of their performance in Written Test and Documents Verification followed by Personal Interview.
- Written Test comprises two stages that is Objective Test (Stage 1) and Descriptive Test (Stage 2).
- Those candidates who will qualify the Paper-I will appear for the Paper-II i.e. Descriptive Test.
- Candidates who will qualify the Descriptive Test may appear for Documents Verification followed by Personal Interview. Final Selection will be done on basis of Documents Verification Process.
Instructions Regarding SSC MTS Selection Process:
Aspirants selection will be done on basis of Paper-I subjected to the aspirant’s fulfilling the basic qualifying standards fixed Paper-II.
SSC MTS Final Result will be declared on the basis of exam.
For SC, ST, OBC and PH Aspirants:
- SC, ST, OBC and PH aspirants who are recruited on basis of their own merit without relaxed standards will not be adjusted against the reserved share of vacancies.
- Reserved Vacancies will be completed up individually from amongst the willing SCs, STs, OBCs, and PH aspirants which will, thus, comprise of SC , ST, OBC and PH candidates who are lower in merit than general candidate in merit list of unreserved category but otherwise found suitable for appointment even by relaxed standard.
- The candidates will be accommodated against the general/unreserved vacancies as per their position in complete merit list.
For Physically Handicapped (OH/VH) category:
- Physically Handicapped (OH/VH) category candidate who qualifies on the basis of relaxed standards, age limit, experience or qualifications, permitted number of chances in written examination etc is to be counted against reserved vacancies of such candidate for selection.
- Staff Selection Commission may maintain a reserve list for each State/UT valid for 01 year from date of declaration of result or publication of notification of the next recruitment whichever is earlier.
