Age Limit: Candidates age should not be exceeding 30 years for post-1 to 3, 18-25 years for post-4 to 7, 18-27 years for post-8. Age relaxation is applicable upto 03 years for OBC, 05 years for SC/ ST, Departmental candidates & CGE, 10 years for PH candidates.
Educational Qualification: Candidates should have Diploma in Handloom Technology or Textile Technology for post-1, Degree in Mechanical Engineering for post-2, Degree in Textile Technology or Textile Engineering or Three years Diploma in Textile Technology or Diploma in Handloom Technology or Diploma in Handloom and Textile Technology for post-3, from a recognized University/ Institute with relevant experience, 10th Pass for post-4, Matriculation or equivalent pass for post-5 from a recognized Board and certificate in First Aid from Central Government or State Government recognized Institutions, 10th pass from a recognized Board and Diploma in Civil Engineering of minimum three years duration from a recognized Institute for post-6, 10th pass from a recognized Board and Industrial Training Institute Certificate in subjects relating to Civil Engineering for post-7, Degree in Statistics or Mathematics or Economics or Sociology or Social Work from a recognized University or Institute for post-8.
Selection Process: Candidates will be selected based on Computer Based Examination & Skill Tests like Typing/ Data Entry/ Computer Proficiency Test etc & interview for Junior Level Posts.
Application Fee: Candidates should have to pay Rs.100/- by SBI Net Banking/ Credit Cards/ Debit Cards/ through SBI Challan. No fee for women candidates & SC, ST, Physically Handicapped, Ex-Servicemen candidates.
How to Apply: Eligible candidates can apply online through website www.sscsr.gov.in from 25-08-2017 to 24-09-2017 up to 05:00 pm & send print out of the application form, sign the same, affix a copy of the same photograph along with self-attested copies of certificates/ documents in support of age, essential qualifications, experience, caste to the Regional Director (SR), Staff Selection Commission, Southern Region, EVK Sampath Building, II Floor, College Road, DPI Campus, Chennai – 600 006 on or before 24-09-2017.

Uploading Answer Key

The Commission had conducted Combined Graduate Level Examination (Tier I), 2017 from 05.08.2017 to 24.08.2017 in the Computer Based Mode. The tentative Answer Keys for the said Examination have been uploaded on the website of the Commission i.e. www.ssc.nic.in. The candidates may login using their same USER ID and Password which were used during the Examination and submit representations, if any, from 07.09.2017 (5.00 P.M.) to 12.09.2017 (5.00 P.M.) through on-line method only, on payment of Rs.100/- per answer.
Representation received after the due date will not be entertained under any circumstances.

                                                     Dear students, SSC has issued date for answer keys. The CGL Tier-1 2017 just concluded on 23 August 2017. According to the official notification "Combined Graduate Level Examination, 2017 (Tier-I) was successfully conducted by the Commission w.e.f. 5.8.2017 to 23.8.2017. A total of 15,43,962 candidates appeared in this examination which was conducted in 43 Batches across the Country. The Commission will upload the tentative answer keys for inviting challenges from the candidates on 18.9.2017."
                                                    

SSC CGL Tier-2 Revised Date Out


Dear Students, SSC has published the revised schedule of all the exams to be conducted by SSC during 2017-2018. According to the latest update, the Combined Graduate Level Examination – 2017 Tier-II (CBE) will be conducted from  27.11.2017 to 30.11.2017. Initially, CGL Tier-2 was scheduled on 10 and 11 November 2017. Students are advised to take note of these dates and plan your studies accordingly.

Recruitment Notification for Constables (Exe.) in Delhi Police Examination-2016 will be available from 10th September 2017. And Examination will be held from 7th to 10th December 2017.

SSC MTS 2017 Paper 1 was scheduled on 30th April 2017. But as the paper was leaked, SSC cancelled the scheduled exam and re-scheduled it from 16th September to 26th October 2017 through Online Mode of Examination.

SSC MTS 2017 Exam Centre

The notification for SSC MTS 2017 was released on 31st December 2016. SSC conducts SSC MTS 2017 Exam every year at various centres all across the country.Candidates are given the option to select the centre of their choice while filling in the application form. The final allotment of the centre by SSC is done based on the choice of the candidate. If in any case there is unavailability of seat in the selected Centre, SSC will change the location as per the availability. Candidates do not hold the authority to question SSC for the same.

SSC MTS 2017 Recruitment

SSC or Staff Selection Commission conducts Multi-Tasking Staff Exam (MTS) every year in 2 different stages:
  • Paper 1 and
  • Descriptive Test
It is mandatory for the candidate to qualify both these stages of examination in order to make it to the merit list prepared by SSC prepared at the end.

SSC MTS 2017 Exam Pattern

The examination of SSC MTS 2017 will be conducted in 2 different levels: Paer-1 and Paper-2.Paper-1 is an online exam which is objective multiple choice question type. Paper-2 is a pen and paper mode of examination which includes a descriptive paper in English or any other language listed in the government policies.

Dear Students, In CGL Tier-1 2017 Exam, One question is being asked from Spices and the part of the plant from which they belong. We are providing to you some important spices names and their scientific names. Memorize all the names and you can easily score 2 marks without much efforts. We wish you all the best for the SSC CGL 2017 Exam.

Asafoetida (Hing) - Also known as devil's dung. It is a resin taken from a plant from the parsley family.Oleogum resin from rhizome and thickened root.
Scientific Name: Ferula asafoetida L 

Bay leaves - These fragrant leaves with pointed ends are used in their dried form. These are used in curries and rice preparations.

Cardamom (Elaichi) -Elettaria cardamomum  is the seed of a tropical fruit in the ginger family. Fruits and seeds leave pleasant aroma with sweet, pungent taste behind when chewed.
Scientific Name: Elettaria cardamomum (L.) 

Cinnamon (Dalchni) - is the dried bark of various laurel trees in the cinnamomun family.
Scientific Name: Cinnamomum zeylanicum 

Cloves (Luong) - small, dried, reddish-brown flower bud of the tropical evergreen tree of the myrtle family.
Scientific Name: Eugenia caryophyllata

Coriander seeds (Dhaniya) - is a member of a parsley family.  The seeds are oval in shape, ridged, and turn from bright green to beige when ripen.
Scientific Name: Coriandrum sativum L

Nutmeg and mace (Jaiphal and Javitri) - is the seed of the evergreen tree. Mace is the fleshy lattice, covering of the nutmeg (hard nut), which is golden brown in color.
Scientific Name: Myristica fragrans Houtt


Ginger (Adrak)- the fresh root ginger is a knobly rhizome with a sweet aroma and hot, pungent taste.
Scientific Name: Zingiber officinale 

Onion Seeds (Kalonji) - are small, irregular shaped black seeds of the plant that grows in India - Kalonji.

Oreango (Ajwain) - it has a strong, pungent odor and flavor similar to pepper and anise. They contain thymol oil, which gives a taste reminiscent of thyme.
Scientific Name: Origanum vulgare L.

Saffron (Zaffran) - this spice is made from orange colored dried stigmas of the especially cultivated crocus.
Scientific Name: Crocus sativus L


Tamarind (Imli) - is the sticky, dried, brown pod of the evergreen tree.
Scientific Name: Tamarindus indica L

Turmeric (Haldi) - comes from the root of Curcuma longa, a leafy plant related to ginger.  It is mildly antiseptic.helps the liver metabolize fats and so aids weight loss.
Scientific Name: Curcuma longa 

Black Pepper - This is the fruit part of the plant.
Scientific Name: Piper nigrum L.

Scientific Name:  Vanilla planifolia

POLYGON AND QUADRILATERAL'S PROPERTIES



1.      Polygon: – It is a closed plane figure bounded by three or more than three straight lines.
 There are of two types of polygons.

Convex:       A polygon in which none of its interior angle is more than 180°
Concave:             A polygon in which at least one interior angle is more than 180°.

       Regular Polygon: All the sides are equal and also all the interior angles are equal
Sum of Interior angles of a polygon = (n – 2) × 180
 number of sides


Sum of exterior angle = 360



2. Rectangle: –
  • In a parallelogram with two adjacent angles A and B equal to each other, then the parallelogram is a rectangle or a square.
  •  Diagonals are equal and bisect each other, but not necessarily at right angles.
  • For the given perimeter of rectangle, a square has maximum area.
  • The figure farmed by joining the mid-points of the adjacent sides of rectangle is a rhombus.
  • The quadrilateral formed by joining the mid points of intersections of the angle bisectors of a parallelogram is a rectangle.


3.    Rhombus: –
  •  A parallelogram in which all sides are equal is called a rhombus.
  •  Diagonal of rhombus bisect each other at right angles, but they are not necessarily equal.
  •  Diagonal bisect the vertex angles.
  •   Sum of any two adjacent angles is 180°
  •   Figure formed by joining the mid-points of the adjacent sides of a rhombus is a rectangle

4.  Parallelogram: –
  •  Opposite sides are parallel and equal.
  •  Opposite angles are equal.
  •  Sum of any two adjacent angles is 180°.
  •  Each diagonal divides a parallelogram into two congruent triangles.
  •  The parallelogram that inscribed in a circle is a rectangle.
  •  The parallelogram that circumcircle a circle is a rhombus

5. Trapezium: –
       A quadrilateral whose only one pair of sides is parallel and other two sides are not parallel.
