Solutions

S7. Ans.(c)
Sol. Required ratio
= (40 + 45 + 60) : (80 + 90 + 100)
= 145 : 270 = 29 : 54

S8. Ans.(a)
Sol. It is clear from the graph that for state B is year 2003 the per cent rise populations from the previous year was the highest.

 S12. Ans.(b)
Sol. Here, (25% of 780 + 35% of 640) ÷ 4 = ?
⇒ (25 × 7.80 + 35 × 6.4) ÷ 4 = ?
⇒ (195 + 224) ÷ 4
⇒ ? = 419 ÷ 4 = 104.75
